Award-winning Indian-Australian vocalist Menaka creates music shaped by her heritage, blending traditional Indian vocal techniques with contemporary influences. Following health challenges affecting her vision, songwriting became a therapeutic outlet — and she has since established herself across Australia’s world-music sphere, winning the 2023 Queensland Music Award for Best Song (World).
Her ensemble features Tsoof Baras (percussion/handpan), Kelsey Giarola (vocals/keyboard) and Darshil Shah (bansuri), producing a rich, immersive sound that sits at the meeting point of East and West.
